Chat
FORscene has an integrated chat system that allows users to chat publicly to all other FORscene users, or privately to users within an individual account, or privately to Forbidden's technical support team.
Public Chat
Click on the Chat icon within your FORscene account to bring up the Public Chat window. The left hand side displays recent chat messages and the right hand column shows a list of the FORscene users currently on-line.
To post a chat message, type your message in the grey bar at the bottom and press enter.
The title of the window, is 'Chat window: Public', stating that the window text appearing in there is for public viewing.
You have the option of retrieving and viewing messages from the past, by clicking on the 'Fetch Previous Messages' icon. Select a time to go back to and the historical chat content will appear in the window.
To close the chat window, click on the 'X' in the top right corner. If a chat window is closed down, it can be re-opened and the text will still be present.
Private Chat
The private chat rooms that are available within FORscene are to chat within an account (all users logged in to the same account can chat together) or to pose questions to FORscene Technical Support (Support). You use them in the same way as the public chat.
Account Chat
To join the Account chat, right click on the Chat icon and select 'Account The FORscene Technical Support Chat allows users of FORscene to express technical difficulties
or suggestions to FORscene's Technical Support team. This chat is private to each individual. To access this, click 'Join' and then 'Support'. Another Chat window will appear. In the top row
of the window it will say 'Chat Window: Support'. In the right hand column, the only members of the
chat window will be yourself and FORscene Technical Support.Support Chat
