Saving and file management
Save
To save your work, drag the video from the record window and drop it into the files folder. The video will appear in the files folder and the title will be highlighted green, so you can give it a name.
Rename
To rename a file, left click on the filename and type in the new name or right click and select rename from the menu options.
Selecting multiple files
There are 3 ways to select multiple files: Select the files with the mouse by dragging ove the files you want; Hold down shift to select adjacent files; Hold down control to select individual files.
Delete
Select the files you want to delete, drag them and drop them onto the recycle bin icon. (Items in the recycle bin are kept for 31 days before being finally deleted. Files can be taken out of the recycle bin by dragging them back into a folder in the files window.)
Move
Select the files you want to move, then right drag them onto the destination folder. It will prompt you to confirm if you try to move rushes.
Copy
Select the files you want to copy, then left drag them to the destination folder.
Autosave
Every time a change is made to a project, it is saved in the autosaved files folder. If you close FORscene without saving your work, you may recover it from the autosaved files folder when you log back in to FORscene.
Previous versions
If you are working on a file that has already been saved, you can save the updated version by dropping it on top of the existing version in the files folder, and keeping the same name. This will replace the icon that was present (as long as the file name hasn't been changed).
Previous saved versions of a file are available by right-clicking on the file icon and selecting Previous versions from the menu.
This will open a folder with all the previously saved files, ordered earliest to latest, reading left to right, top to bottom. To view one of these files, open it in a video window.
The previous versions folder is a read-only folder so files can be moved out of the folder but not back in.
