FORscene User Interface - Record Window (Red)
The record (Red) window can never be closed down, only the video clips cleared. This action is performed by clicking on the circle in the top right of the window. It has similar controls to the play (Blue) window in the short cut keys. Click on the picture to play and click again to pause.
Once you have dragged your video clips into the record window, they will appear below in the active timeline, with different colours representing different clips.
The visible tracks are displayed on the right hand side of the record timeline:
| Video Track | |
![]() |
Audio Tracks 1-4 |
![]() |
Comment track |
![]() |
Slideshow track |
![]() |

These options can be disabled or made active by left clicking on the icon. Clicking on the tracks button on the right hand side of the icons brings up a tick list of the icons. Left clicking on a tick will remove a track from the timeline. Tracks can be re-added by left clicking on the cross again to enable it.
When using the record timeline you will come across the trim tool. It has the following features:
![]() |
Active timeline double sided trim tool - Left drag with this will adjust all tracks in line with the vertical white line. Right click and dragging will produce a smaller trim tool this will only adjust the selected track with the cursor. |
![]() |
Active timeline left/right trim tool - Left drag adjusts the in-points on the selected tracks by the white vertical line, right drag adjusts the in-points only for the specific track. |
Active timeline audio fade tool - Left click and drag horizontally along the audio track will produce a fade in or fade out effect, this can be done more accurately by adjusting the audio levels.
