IBC TV News is the official TV and webcasting channel for the International Broadcasting Convention, held each September in Amsterdam.
During IBC key stories are added to www.ibctvnews.com, providing visitors and virtual visitors with the top news. The site also
highlights news stories featuring top exhibitors from the show floor plus the latest from the conference and programme festival.
IBC TV News has successfully used FORscene at the event for several years to re-purpose both material
for broadcast and website videos during and after the exhibition to over 50,000 attendees and over 1,300 exhibitors.
A FORscene server is installed at the RAI conference centre in Amsterdam. The server compresses and uploads the content shot by the
IBC TV teams on latest generation, tapeless cameras. Material is stored locally at full resolution on the FORscene Server
for auto-conform.
Participating broadcasters and IBC exhibitors are able to access library content provided, under editorial control, including
rushes anddaily programme footage.
Sophisticated search functionality, built-in moderation tools and a range of access levels enable users to search metadata attached to the
material to find the shots and sequences they want. Using FORscene’s frame accurate editing tools; users are able to create simple
edits or complete web video packages.
Once complete, FORscene’s auto-conform process provides a high resolution MPEG-2 or H.264 file to be used in final broadcast pieces or delivered
to exhibitors’ websites.
