Web-based logging platform and searchable archive provide efficient post-process

Broadcast Interactive Media provides web and video content management system (CMS), ad optimization, and data services for television, radio and newspaper websites in all 210 U.S. markets. BIMvid™ is an integrated video platform that uses the FORscene Server to capture broadcast feeds, along with FORscene’s editing tools.

BIMvid records and stores broadcast video 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using the FORscene Server. Robust tools in the FORscene timeline window provide users with advanced editing features, including cutting and splicing of video, applying transitions, inserting still images, and adding subtitles and overlays.

"BIMvid is one of the few truly integrated Video Content Management Systems available to local media outlets. Forbidden has been an excellent partner during the build out of the product, as well as working with us on enhancements, such as higher video quality and closed caption publishing, in response to online market trends and client preferences."

Timur Yarnall, CEO, Broadcast Interactive Media

Up to 14 days of recorded video is stored on the FORscene Server, which captures and compresses in real-time. Raw video can be accessed for editing by selecting the day the video is captured or uploaded.Video files are further separated by hour for quick access. Video is available for editing just moments after broadcast.

Once edited, video clips are submitted for processing, converted to H.264 and are assigned an asset key, which allows for seamless integration on media partner websites. Automatic colour correction and thumbnail cropping may also be set up in advance, delivering high quality Internet video and images.

"Incorporating FORscene into BIMvid has provided our clients with a fast, reliable and easy-to-use video editing platform. News staff especially appreciate the advanced editing features, the drag and drop interface and the ability to use programmable keyboard shortcuts to create an individual work flow."
