Forbidden launches multicam
13th Apr, 2010
Forbidden demonstrates FORscene’s new multicam functionality at NAB 2010
Forbidden Technologies, the AIM quoted developer of the FORscene Cloud video
platform, is demonstrating support for multi-camera feeds on its FORscene video
platform at NAB 2010 in Las Vegas this week.
Forbidden is using the NAB 2010 show to launch its latest push into traditional
desktop markets - FORscene is accessed over the internet through a web browser.
No longer limited to single video feeds, FORscene is leveraging its unique
technology base to allow real time logging and editing of up to eight live video
feeds. The functionality is similar to a studio gallery vision mixer, with the
ability to view and mix video feeds.
FORscene’s powerful patented navigation tools have already proven their
strength, enabling efficient location and selection of relevant material in high
volume productions. Multi-camera support will increase opportunities for
FORscene in high volume, high shooting ratio productions such as reality
television.
Stephen Streater, CEO, Forbidden Technologies, said:
"With multicam, FORscene has confirmed its lead in professional Cloud-based
video tools. Support for multiple synchronised video windows across standard
internet connections further demonstrates the power and flexibility of the
FORscene video platform".
Pete Burns, Project Manager, Forbidden Technologies said:
"The large broadcast companies are looking to take advantage of web-based
solutions. Interest from this sector has led Forbidden to accelerate direct
support in FORscene for multi-camera productions. With over 1,000,000 hours of
professionally shot video handled by the FORscene platform to date, we can
easily handle even the biggest productions worldwide".
"We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Forbidden Stand at SL8305"
