On Forbidden’s interim results, the HB Markets note: "The group reports it is making good progress with major international partners ... the software on a Nokia smart-phone [highlights] the forthcoming surge of video in consumer goods", was picked up by Proactive Investors and stockopedia; RTT News and Sharecast talk about the higher loss resulting from increased investment in advertising and marketing, with stockmarketwire focusing on the 21% rise in Forbidden sales and the 94% gross margin. UK Analyst say the results were "encouraging".

Today’s deal with Siemens is the first visible example of the latest phase in Forbidden’s expansion strategy. With Siemens providing their own FORscene Cloud infrastructure to their customers, Forbidden is freed from running and support costs - whilst still collecting the FORscene licence fees.

IBC 2010

FORscene has a record five points of presence at IBC this year including with partners Ericsson, Chyron and EditShare. IBC TV News is providing FORscene, populated with content, so exhibitors and broadcasters can edit their own HD videos of the exhibition for television and web distribution.

Ericsson, the global Systems Integrator, is demonstrating Forbidden’s FORscene on its stand, 1.D61, at IBC this year. The Ericsson logo is also making an appearance on Forbidden’s stand.

The version of FORscene Load PC on test supports the extended feature set of FORscene Server. It extends the range of supported video formats beyond those normally available under Windows, minimises internet traffic and gives rapid access to FORscene video both locally externally.

Server upgrade

The FORscene Cloud Server used by Forbidden’s high end broadcast clients has been upgraded today. This upgrade includes additional account management functions, and more efficient database use.
