Forbidden's customer TrueTube uses insightful short films to encourage young people to voice their opinions and share their experiences on a variety of sensitive issues. TrueTube has won a prestigious BETT award for its video website, which provides Forbidden's Clesh consumer video service to its users.

BIM

Forbidden Technologies today announced that Broadcast Interactive Media (BIM), the leading provider of web technology and services to US television and radio broadcasters, is using FORscene in its new BIMVID offer to television stations across America. FORscene's web-based editing tools are providing 24/7 access to TV stations' broadcast feeds. Timur Yarnall, CEO of Broadcast Interactive Media, said: "The BIMVID service uses a web-based workflow ... Both station personnel and our in-house editors have picked up FORscene very quickly ... I'm delighted with the end results."

BETT is the world's largest educational technology event; it is being held 14th-17th January 2009. TrueTube has invited two Forbidden people to talk about FORscene and Clesh via the interactive whiteboard on their stand: Pete's talk is at 11.30 on Thursday, and Greg's is at 14.00 on Friday.

SUNY presentation

Forbidden CEO, Stephen Streater, this week gave a presentation to SUNY staff and students led by Professor Steve Keeler. FORscene is used within SUNY to teach video editing to media students.

blue uses FORscene

blue post production, a top UK post house, has provided FORscene to its client Dragonfly productions for the BBC production Kill It, Cook It, Eat It, airing every day from 5-9 January. This series looks at the process of getting wild game from the field to the fork. Loggers used FORscene remotely, with executive producers and directors making rough cut edits in FORscene for finishing on Avid. Drafts from Avid were then reviewed wide-area in FORscene. Sara Hill, post production director at blue said: "We're very happy with the high level of personal service and responsivenes from Forbidden. FORscene has increased efficiency of our edit suites, giving excellent value for money".
