Work experience
Forbidden Technologies has a history of providing work experience for students and school children. With Wimbledon Fortnight starting this week, yesterday's project for Caroline and Zoella was for each to plan, shoot, edit and publish a visitors' guide to restaurants in Wimbledon. Mac upgrade
Version 1.6.8 of FORscene Load Mac is available for download. This allows Mac users (including those running Leopard) to upload video, audio and stills into FORscene. It is suitable for people with high quality source material, such as DV or HD, as the video is compressed locally before uploading, speeding up the upload process by up to twenty times.

TrueTube
TrueTube, which makes Forbidden's Clesh web-based editing system available to their visitors, has updated their website. TrueTube provides a forum for school children to debate ethical issues of the day through the medium of video, and is available to schools in the UK.

FORscene upgrade
FORscene has been upgraded today. This upgrade reduces the number of mouse clicks for typical storyboard users, speeding up the editing process.

Servers upgraded
Forbidden has upgraded the servers used by FORscene's broadcast customers. This upgrade included improvements tried and tested on our normal servers over the last two months. As with other upgrades, the FORscene service continued uninterrupted.

Breathe Post
HD post specialists Breathe Post Production have adopted FORscene, Forbidden's web-based video editing platform, to provide a 'virtual edit suite' service for clients to log, shot select and review content without having to be in the post-production house. Rob Kelly, Managing Director of Breathe said: "We have been looking for some time for a secure, cost effective, flexible solution to allow our clients to review and edit footage remotely via a web based interface. FORscene provides the answer, and following collaboration with Forbidden's R&D department now integrates fully into post workflows using both Avid and Final Cut Pro editing systems".

PC upgrade
Consumers have long enjoyed the benefits of FORscene Load PC, which (unlike a web upload) compresses videos locally before uploading. Today's version 5.6 upgrade also works on our professional servers - allowing our business customers to make it available to their consumer users.

FORscene in the US
FremantleMedia, one of the largest creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world, has adopted FORscene in its US based productions for wide-area review.
