Tutorial video

Whereas the first navigation tutorial illuminates such areas as web upload and search, the second part of this FORscene tutorial concentrates on publishing options: web, mobile, iPod, and downloadable formats for watching offline and broadcasting. Video on the Net conference visitors ranged from broadcasters and bloggers to ISPs to consultants and financiers. The message: that internet video has come of age. Forbidden CEO Stephen Streater is giving a talk on FORscene, the definitive web-based video editing and publishing tool, at Video On The Net in San Jose. This is Forbidden's first US conference, and as the show is about to start there are already a string of meetings in place.

TV broadcast

New feature

The latest addition to FORscene's editing capability allows the simple replacement of video/audio clips by lining up frames in the middle of the new and old clips. This functionality, now widely available on good editing systems, was one of the many innovative features pioneered in FORscene's pre-web predecessor in the early 1990s.

Forbidden and Formidable are gearing up for Video on the Net next week in Silicon Valley. Those attending can come and watch the main talk and the two additional talks. Forbidden Technologies has agreed to use FORscene to make a citizen journalism video of the event, so internet viewers can also catch up on the latest developments.
