Forbidden has another distributor: Formidable Technologies. Formidable covers a range of countries, and their Canadian base puts North America within Forbidden's reach. Forbidden now has partners in Europe, Asia and North America.

Recent press
The Regional Film & Video article "Forbidden Enables Location Independent Editing" says: "With the .. pressure to reduce the time and cost of postproduction, being able to access and edit footage across fixed or wireless broadband connections is a clear benefit. Add to this the ability to publish the completed edit to a mobile phone or web page ... and the post production industry can take a giant step forward".

IBC2005
Forbidden will have a record number of staff at IBC this year. Forbidden's designer stand (number 2.110) is ideally located next to the new Mobile Content Zone and near the restaurants and bar.

IBC training
Suzanne, Peter, Katie and Jenny are helping to staff Forbidden's IBC stands this year. They have all now completed their training in how to use FORscene, Forbidden's web browser based logging, editing, internet reviewing and publishing software.

Mighty Mouse
FORscene is compatible with Apple's new Mighty Mouse, so FORscene's Apple users no longer need to press on the Apple Key to get a right mouse click or drag. The right mouse button is used for many advanced features in FORscene, such as setting black and white levels.

"IBC TV News reaches web and mobiles", headlines THE IBC DAILY PREVIEW 2005. Forbidden's FORscene and FORmobile are being used to provide IBC TV News stories on mobiles. Forbidden's unique Viewtooth technology gives visitors to the international exhibition the ability to share mobile video news stories for free.

Recent press
Growth Company Investor says: "The small cap ranks are peppered with ambitious companies with incredibly exciting technology". The first example is Forbidden Technologies. "In a decent endorsement, the company announced that NATS Post Production, an established facilites house, is the first reseller of FORscene, its state-of-the-art production tool for internet and mobile video in the broadcast production area." Although he does not see immediate profits, he notes "... it is clear that Forbidden is starting to build meaningful commercial relationships".

Go tournament
Forbidden is sponsoring the Epsom Go tournament, which takes place tomorrow. The event is organised by Epsom Go Club President, Paul Margetts. As an added attraction, Paul has arranged the second game of the 2005 British Go Championship to take place along side the tournament.

Audio controls
Forbidden is releasing FORscene upgrades for IBC. The latest FORscene now has audio fade up/down. Simply move the mouse to the start or end of the coloured border of an audio track on the timeline, and a right button drag will generate the fade. Like video levels, audio volume controls are automatically reflected in published web/mobile videos.

Award shortlist
Forbidden is on the shortlist for the 2005 Cable & Satellite International Product of the Year Awards. The final result will be announced at IBC at 6pm on the Sunday. It is FORscene's FORmobile which has caught the eye of the judges, in the "Best IPTV / video-to-mobile technology or service" category.

FORupload / FORupload Pro
New versions of FORupload and FORupload Pro are now available. These can upload JPEG files directly into FORscene, where they appear on the recently added slideshow track. The slides can be combined with video and then published immediately the web.

Finland
This week, Forbidden is sending two senior people to Finland to give a conference presentation. This is to coincide with our Nordic partner's first product launch in the region.
