FORmobile from FORscene

FORscene videos can now be published on mobile phones using FORscene's new FORmobile button. Once published, these videos can be downloaded over the air.

FORweb from FORscene

Videos edited in FORscene can now be published on the web using FORscene's new FORweb button. FORscene is Forbidden's Java web-based editing and publishing tool.

Patent

Forbidden has filed another patent application, which covers certain aspects of FORscene. This enables our team to demonstrate FORscene at NAB.

Trade PR

Forbidden Technologies has appointed Octopus to handle its trade PR. Octopus will focus initially on increasing Forbidden's profile in the trade press. Later this year Octopus will be conducting Forbidden's trade PR campaign for IBC 2004.

FORscene billing

We have added the billing engine to our FORscene editing product. Users' accounts are denominated in £, $, € or ¥. Accounts are automatically debited as FORscene is used.

Multi-user FORscene

FORscene, Forbidden's Java video tool, now supports multiple users. With this upgrade, each user can now edit content from within their own environment. Alpha testing of FORscene will begin later this month.

White balance

Forbidden has added a white balance feature to its FORweb compressor software. This function allows adjustments to video colouring to take different lighting conditions into account.

One of our partners, SiteSeer, has added a page to their website allowing you to easily compare playback at various datarates, image sizes and audio qualities.
