Website interest
The increasing awareness of Forbidden Technologies is reflected in the
record interest in the Forbidden website. The number of hits this quarter
has reached a new record and is running at five times the rate of a year
ago.

The guests at last night's Forbidden hosted event were treated
to a confidential preview of our remarkable FORscene product.

Windows without media player
The
BBC
reports on the latest
European Commission
decision: 'Mr Monti said: "It is essential to have a precedent..." The EU's investigation has found Microsoft to be an
"abusive monopolist" which has skewed the market for audiovisual software... The five year EU case was launched after complaints from
rival makers of audiovisual software that Microsoft was protecting its own media player
and squeezing out others... Microsoft must offer a stripped-down version of its Windows
operating system minus the firm's MediaPlayer audiovisual software within 90 days'.

As we don't use a plug-in, anyone coming to our website will automatically
benefit from this latest upgrade.

European ruling
The remedies
proposed by the European Commission for Microsoft's alleged abuse
of its dominant market position are expected to force Microsoft to offer Windows
without Media Player.
A growing installed base of non Media Player compliant Windows machines will benefit from
Forbidden Technologies' Java solution
which works whether or not Media Player is installed.

Mirror site
Forbidden has been testing out a new
mirror
site in preparation for the launch of FORscene, our editing tool.
With its fast Linux server and high bandwidth connection,
we estimate that this mirror site can support 30,000 simultaneous users.

Mediaconcept Srl,
a licensee of Forbidden's
FORmobile

FORweb
products, has completed its training programme in our Wimbledon office. Mediaconcept
is planning to customise FORmobile for the Italian market, which it is supplying
with Forbidden's
FORadvertisers
product.
