Mobile update
The FORmobile player has been upgraded. The latest version has more elegant billing messages, improved sound, and a faster player which helps particularly on older models. The FORmobile compressor incorporates the corresponding upgrades.

Forbidden Technologies is hosting a series of dinners with key opinion formers to discuss plans for our advancing product range. Invitations for the first event, which is being held next month, were sent out this week.

National Energy Foundation
The National Energy Foundation is using Forbidden's technology for their renewable energy website. The video was compressed by Siteseer, a Forbidden partner.

3GSM World Congress
Forbidden Technologies is sending representatives to the 18th 3GSM World Congress in Cannes. Rob Conway, CEO of the GSM Association, describes 3GSM as the "seminal annual event of the mobile industry".

FORmobile compressor
Third parties are alpha testing the compressor for Forbidden's FORmobile product. Production companies and other content owners can now compress video themselves. Customers can watch these videos on their mobiles using the FORmobile player.

Forbidden's latest upgrade to FORlive's audio is typically 80% better than the previous version, and datarate targeting is now implemented. FORlive creates multiple audio streams, which are combined with the modem, midband and broadband video streams automatically.

Forbidden's latest audio upgrade has cut like-for-like datarate by 7.5%. We have used this new technology to improve the audio quality on our website videos. With our Java player, users benefit automatically from this development.
