Pogo announces nVoy
Pogo, the UK mobile device designer, has recently announced their next consumer design. "Our vision at Pogo is to create a communicator so useful and easy to use that it becomes an essential part of your life" said Ran Mokady, CEO of Pogo Mobile Solutions. By using Pogo's Frequently ConnectedTM concept, nVoy does not require always on connections such as GPRS and 3G.

Samsung takes Symbian stake
The Financial Times today reports "Microsoft's wireless ambitions suffered a stinging blow yesterday when the only big manufacturer to have licensed its operating software threw in its lot with a rival".

Mobile to support Linux and Java
The Financial Times has reported that Motorola "plans to launch the first handset built around Java technology and Linux software." Mike Bordelon, corporate vice-president in Motorola's handset division said, "We see Java applications taking off". Rich media advertising's rise
A DoubleClick report on last year's internet advertising states that ads were "bigger and more likely to include rich media." In fact, "Rich media led the way" with view-through rates that "rose 47 percent". Forbidden's video ads are a rich media treatment allowing transfer of existing TV campaigns to the web.
