Forbidden wins Royal Television Society Technology Award

London, UK, 12 December 2005: Video streaming and editing specialist, Forbidden Technologies, today announces that it has won the Royal Television Society Award for Technology in the Post Production Process for its flagship product, FORscene. The award was presented at the prestigious ceremony at BAFTA in London, on Thursday 8 December.

FORscene's web-based functionality for logging, editing, reviewing and publishing has seen it used by major broadcast and production companies including GMTV, Mentorn and Granada, along with the initiation of a reseller partnership with Nats Post Production, a leading provider of post-production facilities.

The RTS Technology Awards, which are the "gold standard of achievement in the television community", seek to recognise excellence in technological activities from 'scene-to-screen and back'. The award for Technology in the Post Production Process is for products that have done the most to improve the processes between original creation or capture of new content, the restoration of previously-captured content, and the storage of completed content prior to delivery to the user. It was presented by Stephen Cole, Presenter, BBC World.
