Fremantle uses FORscene within production workflow

London, 4th June 2008 Forbidden Technologies today announced that FremantleMedia, one of the largest creators and producers of entertainment brands in the world, has adopted FORscene in its US based productions for wide-area review.

FORscenes ease of navigation and account management system has allowed Fremantles production team to upload cuts of episodes for Americas Got Talent Series 3 for review and approval by the programme producers based across the world.

FremantleMedia is owned by the RTL Group, Europes largest television and radio broadcast company. Fremantle North America produces some of Americas most popular television programmes including American Idol. Americas Got Talent Series 2, peaking at 13.9 million viewers, was the best performing show in its NBC time slot. Fremantle prides itself on developing and producing some of the most innovative and watched shows on TV.

Zach Jarosz, Executive Director, Post Production said:

For Americas Got Talent Series 3, we wanted to allow our producers and production team world wide access to rushes and rough cuts as soon as they were ready. FORscene delivers this in a simple and efficient way.

I enjoy using FORscene and am looking forward to rolling it out across my upcoming productions.

Fremantles initial use of FORscene is to provide wide-area review access to production staff throughout productions. The plan is for FORscene to be used across its production workflow by using it for uploading timecoded content directly from Avid, for logging and rough cut in FORscene before auto-conforming back in Avid for on-line editing.

Stephen Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies, said:

I am delighted that FremantleMedia is using FORscene in some of its most prestigious productions. This is an important addition to our user base on the West Coast of the USA.
