Leading the world in Cloud based video tools

Launch of FORscene HD

10th Sep, 2009

Forbidden Technologies is pleased to announce the launch of FORscene HD. This new functionality allows videos which have been edited within FORscene to be conformed automatically at anything up to 1080p - full High Definition (HD).

After editing high quality internet-ready video, FORscene uploads the full HD quality frames used in the finished programme into the Cloud. The special effects, colour correction and titles are combined at full resolution on a FORscene Cloud Server for download to a broadcaster, ready for transmission.

FORscene HD, which can also be used in Standard Definition (SD), provides multiple efficiency gains:

  • Material can be reviewed and edited from anywhere on the web
  • Editors can access material from many sources, not just one local source
  • The final programme can be made, even in HD, without using any third party editing systems
  • The final programme is sent in broadcast quality efficiently to the broadcaster for transmission
  • Greg Hirst, Business Development Director of Forbidden Technologies, said:

"FORscene HD extends Forbidden's remarkable FORscene video platform into the world of High Definition. FORscene can now provide a complete end-to-end HD solution, or be part of a more complex workflow.

We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Forbidden Stand at IBC2009."
